Seventh- and eigth-grade students in Philadelphia shared their reactions to a visit from Positive Exposure

Dear Rick , I would like to thank you for coming to our school and talking about your Positive Exposure program.  I now see many things differently.  You made me think about how to help all these people who are exploited for something that's not their fault, and I come up with an idea .  My talent is drawing.  i hope to draw comic books when I leave school.  So I plan to make the main character of my first comic, that I'm writing now, have albinism.  I hope it will help.  Sincerely, Ben

Dear Rick, I think it was seriously cool for you to come to St. Monica’s.  Those girls with albinism...They can model. their pictures are incredible.  My Dad said that we should make up a really good idea for Albinism.  My brother Raphael met you when he was in eighth grade and thought you were awesome, too.  Keep up the work!  Love, Maria

Dear Rick, I love the show, my favorite was when they were singing.  You are amazing.  During our other assemblies I never pay attention, but this one I loved.  You are a great boy.  from Giacomo

Dear Rick,  I am so thankful you come to our school and showed us Positive Exposure.  It's wonderful that you could show that everyone is special.  I liked the part where you said that the world would be boring if we were all the same.  i think it's true, and people should learn to embrace differences.  I hope one day I can do the things you are doing now.  Sincerely, Jamela

Dear Rick Guidotti,  I loved your presentation yesterday.  You are a great person.  Your program is awesome, you have a great job.  You inspired me to do amazing deeds.  Your taught me that if you are different it does not mean you aren't a great person. Good luck. Thank you.   from Joseph

Dear Mr. Rick Guidotti,  Hello, My name is Timothy.  I am in the 7th grade.  I am writing this to thank you for the presentation.  I think it was an awesome presentation.  You had a very great point on albinism, and that everyone is terrific no matter what you look like.  That presentation hit me in the heart.  i want to do what you do when I am older .  Thanks for an awesome presentation.  Sincerely, Timothy

Dear Rick,   When I heard we were having an assembly I got so excited.  When you were telling us what you did, being a fashion Photographer and all, my jaw dropped.  It's so cool and now you help kids I thought that was cooler.  When I get older I want to be a fashion designer, but now that you showed us those people with albinism, I want to find a way of helping them, while following my dream .  I'll have to think of someway.  When I'm older and have ads for my clothes, they'll be the models..  On television, I saw a blind girl and her eyes were so beautiful.  I thinks they should be in my pics too!  Sincerely, Ariana
