| Trip to Kerala, India and Braille without Borders |
|
Kerala!! I recently spent about a week in Southern India, Kerala, at the International Institute for Social Entrepreneurs, visiting friends, Sabriye and Paul of Braille Without Borders.
The concept behind the one year Institute is extraordinary, as are its participants (students), ages 19-51. I was there just as they were finishing up a 9 week act (semester) where the participants with guidance from the catalysts (teachers) were challenged to create a new country, full of corruption and lack of any awareness of people with disabilities. As a newly formed NGO, they needed to do community disability surveys, assess need, create public awareness campaigns and support organizations, facing all the challenges possible. The final radio broadcast is up on the Braille without Borders site.
One afternoon we traveled to a local beach and we all swam in the Arabian Ocean. The waves were HUGE!! We all held hands and no one was lost at sea. What a blast... We sang Indian songs and danced in our seats on the bus back to the institute and laughed and laughed.
See the image galley on the PE site.

| Going Places |
The Positive Exposure studio is a stopping place for many people in the genetics and disabilities communities, just as the organization itself is a trusted voice for the spirit of difference. We also spend a lot of time on the road, bringing the faces of diversity all around the globe.
If you can, help us continue our work at the center of so many communities. Otherwise, please link to our site and help spread the word about the unique possibilities that lie within difference.
Always remember: together, we show the beauty of difference. DONATE |

Dear Rick,
Your photography has touched my heart. It is just beautiful. I wanted to share with you a story about my friend Melissa's daughter, Saralene. She was born with CHARGE Syndrome and I believe would make a beautiful addition to your stunning work. Thanks for the images,
Jenee Libby
